Cynthia Ross is a bass player and vocalist, best known as a founding member of Toronto-based punk band The B-Girls in the 1970s and early 80s. In this oral history, Ross discusses her upbringing, the formation of The B-Girls, their move to NYC, and subsequent success. She talks about personal and professional relationships, drug addiction and sobriety, marriage and motherhood, her post-music education and career, and her return to music after 30 years. Cynthia currently lives in New York City, performs with the The B-Girls and New York Junk and manages the band Beechwood.
