Miss Guy is a vocalist and DJ, best known as vocalist of the NYC-based glam rock band, The Toilet Boys. In this oral history, Miss Guy discusses his upbringing in Southern California, his relationship with his parents and siblings, and his experience at school and with his peers. He discusses his early interest in music, fashion, and how these things afforded him the freedom to express himself and overcome his shyness. Guy details his move to New York City in the late 1980s, his introduction to the drag club scene, work as a performer and DJ, the formation of Toilet Boys and their ensuing career, as well as notable shows and collaborations.
